We love our volunteers

And quite frankly, without them, this festival wouldn't be half as what it is right now. Whether it's typical gate duty or helping set up the site, we are endlessly grateful for everyone who wants to support the Moira Canal Festival. We've got volunteers of all ages, why not join them?

Activities can range from a couple of hours gate duty welcoming paying visitors to the festival, to hands-on setting up and breaking down equipment before and after the festival weekend, to more in-depth involvement on the organising committee. The choice is yours...

We'd love to hear from individuals, school and community groups, organisations and clubs who would like to get involved in Moira Canal Festival in 2019. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Steve, using the contacts page.

We also want to say a special thank you to all those volunteers that have been with us for many years. Here are just a few of our amazing volunteers that have been helping us out for 7 years or longer -

The Committee

The Committee are the people working year-round and behind the scenes, without them, the Moira Canal Festival simply wouldn't exist! In fact, without them, there wouldn't be much vital work being done to restore and extend the Ashby Canal.
